Adults

All prospective adult students are highly encouraged to first come to an orientation before making the decision to enroll in our program. Simply show up any Tuesday night at 7:45 pm and tell our front office you would like an Adult Class Orientation. One of our staff will take you to the class, explain to you what you are seeing and how our methods work. If you feel the program is right for you one of our staff members will help you finish the required paperwork and have you swimming in the next class!

In 1969, Paul began developing an unorthodox method of teaching swimming to adults. Paul found that many of his students who wanted to learn to scuba could not swim. The early days of scuba did not include equipment such as inflatable vests, therefore swimming skill requirements were much more rigid. Paul discovered that by initially putting a non-swimmer in vest, mask, snorkel, and fins to develop their confidence, and then reversing the process and removing the equipment one piece at a time, a person learned to swim with confidence.

You will begin by wearing an inflatable vest (you cannot possibly sink) while learning the freestyle and many more in-water techniques. You’ll be amazed as your confidence builds.

Adult Beginner

You can learn to swim.
It’s easy, fun and GUARANTEED,
or your money back!

Even if you have taken swimming lessons before, even if you cannot wash your hair under the shower, even if you look at a body of water as a suffocating liquid that frightens you, you can learn to swim.

If, after completing eight one-hour lessons you are not happy with your progress, we will refund your full fee.

This is not a fitness program. Swimming is good exercise, but this is not a fitness program. This is a “Learn to Swim” program designed for the non-swimmer who wants to swim for fun with the children or grandchildren or just wants to learn to be safe around the water.
