Adult Non-Swimmers

You can learn to swim.
It’s easy, fun and GUARANTEED,
or your money back!

Even if you have taken swimming lessons before, even if you cannot wash your hair under the shower, even if you look at a body of water as a suffocating liquid that frightens you, you can learn to swim.

If, after completing eight one-hour lessons you are not happy with your progress, we will refund your full fee or continue to work with you for the balance of your 5 months.

This is not a fitness program. Swimming is good exercise, but this is not a fitness program. This is a “Learn to Swim” program designed for the non-swimmer who wants to swim for fun with the children or grandchildren or just wants to learn to be safe around the water.

The Paul Oberle Method:

In 1969, Paul began developing an unorthodox method of teaching swimming to adults. Paul found that many of his students who wanted to learn to scuba could not swim. The early days of scuba did not include equipment such as inflatable vests, therefore swimming skill requirements were much more rigid. Paul discovered that by initially putting a non-swimmer in vest, mask, snorkel, and fins to develop their confidence, and then reversing the process and removing the equipment one piece at a time, a person learned to swim with confidence.
You will begin by wearing an inflatable vest (you cannot possibly sink) while learning the freestyle and many more in-water techniques. You’ll be amazed as your confidence builds.

Watch Video of actual adult students.

In addition to Paul’s unorthodox swim teaching methods, he is known as The Father of Scuba Rangers, a scuba program for children ages 8 – 12. If you Google in Scuba Rangers you will find over 85 listings with programs taught worldwide.

Testimonials

"My son has been taking swimming lessons at The Swim School for a little over a year and he's enjoyed every minute of it. His teacher is absolutely wonderful and very patient. After watching him become more advanced in swimming, I decided it was time for me to learn as well. For years I've been very afraid to learn how to swim, but the atmosphere here at The Swim School has made me much more comfortable. The Adult Swim class is wonderful. I would have never thought I could acutally learn how to swim better yet, has become something we can share as a family and I want to thank The Swim School teachers for that gift. You guys are wonderful. I hope you continue to spread the love of swimming for years to come." -Eliza Johnson
