Recreational Swim Team
Philosophy
We are a recreational swim team that caters to children wishing to swim in meets while still having fun. We practice two days a week with a focus on learning the proper technique of all four competitive strokes. It is not all hard work though. We leave time for games and team activities. Parents, if you want your children to learn values such as team work and goal setting while still loving what they are doing, we might be the team for you.

Coach – Frances Kelley
I have been teaching swim lessons for five years and I love working at The Swim School. I also coach the swim team with Elaine, Taylor and Ricco. I have always enjoyed working with kids and I love swimming. I graduated from Yale University with a degree in religious studies. Before coming to The Swim School I spent three years working on political campaigns. Currently I am a graduate student at Centenary College in Education. I also do community organizing with Louisiana Progress Action, Equality Louisiana, and 350 Louisiana. I am actively involved in my church, Church for the Highlands. I like camping, gardening, cooking, knitting, and reading, especially the Harry Potter books.
