The Swim School swim team is a team focused on improving swimming skills, leadership, goal setting, friendships and fun.

Call to register

To qualify for the team, children must be able to complete the minimum distance for their age group.

  • 8 years and under-25 meters
  • 9 years and up-50 meters

Swimmers do not need to know all 4 competitive strokes in order to participate. They will be building endurance and stamina so that they can compete in more challenging events throughout the season.

There is a one-time fee of $225 that includes the cost of suit, cap, meet fees and practice fees.

Shreveport Stroke Clinics

Technical Help Clinic-Wednesdays in Shreveport. You must sign up in advance to reserve your spot. We will begin stroke clinics starting January 29th at The Swim School in Shreveport. Swimmers will be trained in free style, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke.

This clinic will concentrate on the small things that matter in the sport of swimming that can make a huge difference in strokes, times and endurance.

We will not be holding try-outs, we will coach swimmers through stroke clinics now to have them ready for the summer meets.

  • Freestyle: Sunday, February 23 from 1pm-3pm
  • Diving: Saturday, March 7 from 1pm-2pm

    Swim Team Practice

    “ The Shreveport Summer Swim League is in the middle of a transition right now so some things may be changing, such as meet days. I will be on the board to make sure we are all informed of any changes.”

    Once the weather warms up, we will have practice 3 days a week at the Shreveport location. This allows parents to have the flexibility to choose how many practices their child can attend and what fits their schedule. There is no official start date as of now.

    Practice will be 2 hours long. One hour will be spent in the pool and 45 minutes will be for dry land exercises for cross training.
